{ Tasks } Registry

You know, Carl and I plan to start our registry this weekend by at least hitting up one store... and all I can think of while I organize the big check list is:

I have four separate lists that are 'guides' since I am terrified we'll forget something essential... It feels like a daunting task. Formal dining ware? Casual dinnerware? Appliances...? Ugh! So much! I'm a little terrified to get to it, but I keep telling myself to calm the eff down. It's going to be okay. If we forget something, most registries let you post from online, from the comfort of our own homes.

-sigh- My controlling, type A personality really gets the best of me sometimes. Even the simpilist task become unbearable. Damn you, anxiety!

Wish us luck!

{ Life } Bridal Nightmares

The wedding nightmares are starting again, now that we are just over four months out. Last nights was... epic.

I was at the ceremony with my family. They seated everyone inside, even though it was bright and sunny out. Instead of waiting, they served dinner immediately, but it wasn't anything we had asked to be on our menu. I looked down and realized I was in my wedding dress with no make up and my hair not done. The DJ started playing the reception music and the ceremony hadn't even happened. No one could find the site coordinator. The hall was over crowded. The cake wasn't there, the guys suits were all different. None of the bridesmaids were there. The photographer never showed up. It was like the whole thing was backwards. Reception, then ceremony... and all the details were wrong. Most of all... Carl wasn't there.

My mom did her best to keep me calm, but I was in a full crying meltdown.

Ugh. I don't know if I can handle this... I guess I just need to get my act together and get back to planning. My list is getting far too long and all I want to do is crawl under a rock.

{ DIY } Save the Dates

I'm back from vacation, and I think my motivation has been renewed. Maybe. We'll see how long this lasts!

So back a few weeks before the Most Epic Cruise Ever, I had my MOH and Attendant over to help Mom and me put together Save the Dates. After three nights of prep work -- cutting the pictures, measuring the backgrounds and other layers, etc -- I was excited to see them finally come together.

With cinnamon rolls the size of dinner plates from Isles Buns and other various snacks, we popped in Bridesmaids and go to work! Oh, I almost forgot the mimosas!!

Carl made us some delicious turkey bacon avocado sliders for lunch, and we continued on with the chickflicks. 27 Dresses, Juno... Ok, so maybe Juno wasn't really wedding appropriate, but still.

In the end, we finished all the envelopes, all the Save the Dates, and welcomed in a sense of accomplishment. Maybe that was just me... Still, it took me over a week to get the dang things in the mail. -sigh- I am such a procrastinator! I wanted them in the mail before we left for the cruise, and that was that.

What do you think? I think they turned out great! All the stamping, embossing, and double-sided tape was totally worth it!
